Waking up early for training is only half the problem, being motivated to train with a high intensity is the other half!
If you've already woken up at 5am to get to the gym or start your workout, GOOD STUFF!
The only other real problem is getting enough intensity out of the workout so it is as productive as possible. I'm all about efficiency lol
Lack of intensity really is a lack of motivation to kick into a higher gear, so here are a few tips:
#1 Stay Warm - I find that if it is cold in the morning that I pretty much sleep in my gym clothes and that will usually be a big hoodie and track pants. Not only do I wake up warm but I don't have to change into colder clothes. Try it!
#2 Give yourself time - I get up 30mins earlier than needed in order to just wake up, have pre-workout and let my body circulate some blood around to help keep warm.
#3 Motivate - Without fail every morning I watch motivating Youtube videos to get my body on board with what I'm training that day. Most times I'll get to the gym early and sit in the car with the heater on watching motivational gym videos for 15mins before going in to get it done!
These very simple tips always get me going before training, try them out!
