It's in the media at the moment so I thought I'd put my two cents in. Basically what's going around is that drinking coffee first thing in the morning isn't ideal to help you wake up. This is because your Cortisol levels spike at this time naturally to help you wake up, call it your body's natural redbull shot. Now adding caffeine to this equation 'apparently' inhibits your body's ability to actually absorb and take on the alerting properties of a coffee. From here having coffee repeatedly increases your body's tolerance to caffeine. But I'm pretty certain that's going to happen anyway if you're sucking down 6 of these a day. Following the natural spikes of cortisol within us, basically the best times to have a cuppa joe is between 10am-11am and 2pm-3pm. For the past few weeks, I've been having 600ml of water and ON BCAAS with a small dose of caffeine first thing in the morning to get hydrated then have my normal breakfast. Got Questions? Ask Below!
