In a world where it is cheaper to buy bad food, it becomes continuously difficult to actually be able to AFFORD to eat healthy. So here are some tips: 1. Work on price per serving As you have probably heard, planning your daily eating is vital to staying on track with your fitness goals. So with that comes the understanding of just how much you're paying per meal. It's relatively simple, calculate how many servings you need for that day and then divide the price of that item by that figure. (Example: 1kg of chicken for $12AU, 100g serving per meal = $1.20AU per meal 2. Hunt for a Butcher If you can find a reasonably priced butcher in your area that's gold! As meat is more often than not the most expensive part of healthy eating - it makes sense to minimize cost and find a butcher selling healthy cuts for cheaper than the bigger supermarket giants. Again work on a price per serve basis. 3. Eat out of a can Tuna, chickpeas, beans, fruit, FROZEN EGG WHITES. You know what I'm talking about here. At the end of the day if you're really having a tough week it isn't hard to budget for healthy meals, I literally have a can of tuna and a packet of rice that comes with me where ever I go - call it emergency rations LOL. The price per serve here is fantastic especially with frozen egg whites usually amounting to around $2 per serve, how often do you get a $2 breakfast these days! Got Questions? Ask Below!
