4 Tips For Better Health

With so much information surrounding the topic of health, it can be ever so confusing to try and understand just HOW you can stay healthy!
But What Does Staying Healthy Mean Exactly?

It is defined as "the state of being free from illness or injury." So you could assume if you are free from illness and injury you are healthy right? Duh..

For me health means a few things in addition so here are my 4 tips to help you out​​:

#1 - Maintain A Healthy Weight
Yes this is an obvious one  but people still fail to keep this a priority. There is no special formula to tell you what your ideal weight is but everybody knows their own body well enough to know what a healthy weight range is. Keeping your weight under control very simply puts LESS stress on your bodily functions. ​

#2 - Exercise Regularly
Again, probably an obvious one for you but let me give you a simple reason why. More exercise = less sickness. Exercise boosts your immune system like you would not believe.

​Literally hundreds of times when I can feel a cold or sickness coming on, taking the time to do some small measure of exercise really does help deter sickness. 30mins per day people! Start with a brisk walk if you are new to the concept :)

#3 - Quit Smoking, Tone Down The Drinking
These two factors combined are very much linked to #1 Maintaining a Healthy Weight. You can imagine if your body is spending so much times processing and ridding itself of these chemicals and substances, it will have no time left to manage weight and use fat stores for energy.

​Drinking is so heavily tied to over weight problems its not funny. If you need further help on this one contact me :)

#4 - Eat More Vegetables
Instead of saying "Eat Healthy" I thought it would be more appropriate to encourage you to eat more vegetables.

​Veges are exactly the type of carbs that you want your body to be digesting over the sugary items everyone seems to crave. Naturally you will also get a lot more vitamins, minerals and even antioxidants which in turn keeps illness at bay and keeps your energy levels high all the time!
Above All - Listen To Your Body
Your body will tell you when it is getting sick and it is up to you to remedy that. Taking care of yourself doesn't have to be so complicated and you can avoid lengthy visits to the GP by doing so.​
